How to Play in the league - The Short Version

1. Play your game on your PC as much as you can an export horses (when you click on a horse name, you will see a red circle with a capital E in it - Click this. Setup any instructions at your horse needs, and click the "Export this horse now").
2. They are exported to this location (Note: It's a hidden folder, so if you need me to explain how to un-hide, don't hesitate to ask. Also it might be a slightly different if you are using Vista C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\starters orders 4\exports\horses).
3. You can then cut/copy the horse files from these locations and store them in folders of you choice, so you can organise by distance, age, gender, as you see fit, so you can easily keep track of milers from stayers, etc.
4. Important: Make sure when you export your horses their fitness and condition are at their maximum.
5. Export a horse for each year of it's racing career in your game. (Export at 2yo, Export again when the horse is 3yo).
6. Export a horse only when it's "fully" fit and green condition bar is at it's maximum.
7. In the SO4 game, you will see a menu for "Race Builder", then click horses.
8. Reset your horses to a starting handicap for the league you intend to enter into
   1. NHC start at 100 rating
      1. Click on the first handicap rating and type "10" and press enter.
      2. Repeat the above step for it's second jump rating.
   2. UKRA start at an 75 rating
      1. Click on the first handicap rating and type "975" and press enter.
   3. USRA start at an 80 rating
      1. Click on the first handicap rating and type "8" and press enter.
9. Use the "Create Race" option in your game to run trial races, at a variety of tracks, ground conditions, and different ages.
10. This will help you figure out your best horses. A good horse in your game won't always be a good horse in the league, and you might find that a weak game horse could be a superstar in the Race Builder.
11. Keep the best and trash the rest.
12. All Horse files uploaded to the league, must be the original files.  No renamed or age-altered copies.
13. Before the league begins, you will be able to upload your best horses to TOM.
    1. When you login to TOM, you will see 3 League buttons in the top right hand corner. Click the league button for the stable you wish to upload a horse to.
    2. Click the "View Stable" button to open your stable, and on the right hand side you will see the "Upload horses" button. Click this.
    3. Click the "Browse" button and browse to where you've stored your horse file. Select it and click the "OK" or "Open" button.
    4. Set the Gender, Distance, Ground conditions options correctly, then click "Upload Horse".
14. You then only need to decide which races to enter, etc. All done with a few clicks of a button in TOM.
15. Our Race Secretaries run the races every Sunday, and races and commentaries are released to all members later in the Week for you to view and enjoy.
16. USRA races release on Wednesday, NHC released on Thursday and UKRA released on Friday, all at 5pm UK time.
17. While you are waiting for the races, you can place bets in TOM, read write ups about the forthcoming races in this website.
